Obituary for Ronald Lee Evans

Ronald Evans, 74, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2019. He was the son of the late Willie Albert Corum and Nova Helen Brown.
He was the father of Teresa Stratton (Mike), Debbie Guerrant (Jeff), Veronica Dorsey (Tony), and Becky Fowler (Brian); grandfather of Mary Jean 'Jeannie' Stratton, Caroline Grace Stratton, John Michael Stratton, Mathew Mark Underwood, Zilah Ada-Leigh Underwood, Jeffrey Scott 'Scottie' Guerrant, Jr. (MIssy), James Robert 'Bobby' Guerrant (Kimberly), Ronald Douglas 'Doug' Guerrant, Cierra Alexis Rae Moore, Julia Christine 'Christy’ Dorsey, and Michael Anthony Dorsey, II; great grandchildren, Ellyssa Tory Medford, Laney Danielle Guerrant, Mia Felicity Scott Guerrant, Micah Levi Guerrant, Noah Matthew Guerrant, and Josiah David Guerrant; loving family, George Albert Billings, Tammy Torkelson, and Karen Kapp; and his faithful four-legged companion, Lady.
He will be joining his wife, Daisy Jean Crunk Evans with their Lord in Heaven; and siblings, Helen Christine Evans and Bill Evans.
Ronald Evans and his wife were members of Freedom Baptist Church. When he was not with his family, he loved selling and buying tools. He will be remembered for his honorable service in the Vietnam conflict with the 101st Airborne. He earned many stars to commemorate his service such as the American Defense service medal, National Defense service medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Bronze star,
good Conduct medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Man medal, Republic of Vietnam Companion ribbon, Parachutist Badge, and Marksman Badge.
Join the family at Woodlawn Memorial Park, September 9, 11:00 am, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville for the Graveside Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry.
